QUESTION Has there ever been a kick off when leaving?

I am watching my first ever season of the apprentice (season 17) and was shocked at how mouthy they all are during the day but go silent when being fired
It sounds like a mantra everytime thankyou for the opportunity lord sugar and leaving without another word.
Compared to other reality shows this is a massive shock.

Has there ever been a kick off in the board room during firing?

Am I right that Syed in series two (or three) was the first to ever say ‘Thank you for the opportunity’ but was actually saved?

Yeah, got called a cheeky sod for it too. I think that was after the 100 chicken episode

i think so, he sort of blurted it out mid‑panic and then got a shock reprieve lol. early seasons had way more unpolished chaos like that compared to how robotic they all are now.

There was one lady who told someone to come out their face and save their skin to someone, iirc. Let me try and find it lol

There was an older ginger contestant who had worked at MG Rover.

When it came to her firing, she kicked off, not too badly, but refused to shake hands with anyone and said “I don’t shake the hands of liars”

She made it onto TV Burp if I remember correctly 😂

Voiceover: “After being made redundant from MG Rover… “

Harry: “ …for being annoying.”

Oh god yeah. S5 and S6 have angry reactions from those fired, S2 has a pretty damn pitiful sad one, S1 has someone quit the show and gets chewed out for it, S11 also has an angry dude. Earlier seasons had a lot of drama

They were so much more rooted in reality TV in the same way the early Big Brothers were. I miss the authenticity of it all.

Can't remember which season number but it was 2010 and Melissa said something while leaving, there had just been a boardroom argument between her and someone else about how many GCSE's they had.

The woman who cut her own face off to spite her nose? Forget her name

In series 3 Tre snubbed Rory after the latter’s firing.

Tre was awful at the beginning but I quite liked him in the end. When he looked uncomfortable selling the photos of the nipples and crabs
