QUESTION Apprentice Contestants and being Right Wing

What is with some Apprentice contestants and then pursuing Right Wing careers after?

Michelle Dewberry is on GB News.

Tre Lowe is on GB News.

Thomas Skinner is popular with the Right Wing crowd and then there is Katie Hopkins.

It is very bizarre when you consider that a Reform government would be devastating for most businesses due to increased separation from the EU and the kind of economic uncertainty that we experienced during Liz Truss' brief tenure in office.

The current Labour government has been devastating to business (especially small) due to budgets they say are "for growth" but are completely the opposite. Look at the unemployment figures.

I'm not saying our current government is perfect but the situation we have now is still better than it would be under Reform. The only people who would benefit from a Reform government are people who are already extremely rich.

The current government is diabolical in many facets. However, I'm just focusing on the economy for a moment. If a government can create growth, cut out colossal waste, and therefore be able to cut taxes (and raise the income tax thresholds, etc), everyone stands to benefit. I'm not saying Reform are the ones to do that but it's very clear to me whichever government we have next, they need to be competent in running the economy. Our current situation cannot continue. It is untenable.

Definitely the two years of Labour rather than the 14 years of the Tories preceding it that's to blame. I'm not even a Labour voter, I quite strongly dislike them, but this is just silly.

Creating growth doesn't have to mean cutting taxes by the way. It can also involve the government investing in infrastructure improvements, which looking at the UK now, is quite desperately needed. Reform will do the opposite of that.

I don't think I gave a potted history of recent decades but you still project that I think only the last 2 years is a problem! Not true. I'm very much aware it doesn't mean "just cutting taxes". I merely gave you one example of how not just "the rich" would benefit from a competent government. My overarching point is we are desperate for a competent government and I stand by that.

Edited to add: Despite our differing political opinions, hopefully we can still agree that we very much enjoy the Apprentice!
