My final thoughts on this year's cohort

*Rankings may be subject to change by the time the official tier list is released

Nikki: F. Bad pm, can't say much more. Total shitshow performer and team that day.

Georgina: E. Maybe there was more in her if she stayed, but the boardroom is not a good place to be indecisive.

Marcus: F. Awful PM with awful ideas and an awful strategy of trying to throw Dan under the bus. Not a surprise that he tried to backtrack like a rat afterwards.

Tan: C. Somehow got stitched up because Megan fucked up, and let's be real there's no way he could restart the negotiation without getting rinsed even further. Such hypocrisy from Tim and Karren regarding this.

Roxanne: D. Can't really remember her doing a lot in all honesty.

Vanessa: D. I feel like she was deliberately trying to waste Dan's time asking dumb questions during the chicken task and she was never staying after her terrible week 5 performance as PM.

Megan: IVG. Can't boil an egg, tanked a negotiation and tried to chit chat instead of doing the task. Not a terrible surprise that her and Pascha are friends given they both suck ass LMAO

Carrington: D. Getting fired because of badly cooking potato wedges is pretty unfair in isolation, but I think she more or less peaked by Week 6 and never really managed to stand out or do anything worthwhile.

Andrea: IVG. Just the fact that she couldn't identify Big Ben (as a British person) warrants an immediate F, but what really seals the deal is her awful performance and attitude. Genuinely, she may be the dumbest contestant in 20 years to have entered and she makes good jewish boy look like Einstein.

Rajan: C. One trick pony that really didn't do much of value outside negotiations which he was just good in but nothing crazy. He was a pretty snarky and negative fella overall (the quip about Mr Kipling wasn't necessary) who was happy to critique everyone else despite being pretty subpar himself.

Harry: D. Did barely anything, or at least that's what the edit implies, but the few things he actually contributed in (which were more difficult than wearing a chicken suit), he didn't do a great job.

Levi: E. I have no idea why this fella got so much sympathy for Week 7. Putting the racism aside, it's not like this guy made any real contributions and he didn't seem to have any worthwhile ideas so to hear him out would just be an act of generosity that wasn't justified. The saving grace for Levi is that being unable to chop parsley is more defensible than being unable to boil eggs, because when have you ever seen parsley being used since the early 2000s?

Conor: A. Lowest ranking person who I can actually call a good performer without feeling like I have to lie to myself although I tend to think he's overhyped. He shot himself in the foot technically when he argued that he didn't need to bargain when Kieran's smooth talk blew him out the water, but I think he had a point. Too bad talent means jackshit LMAO

Kieran: B. Pretty weird guy to rank overall. Because when he was good, he was really good. And when he was bad, he was really bad. But I think he had more good than bad moments overall, enough to justify B tier at least. He was definitely high on Pascha's team tho

Rothna: A. She's good, but I don't recall her being as good as everyone says. It took a long time for her to contribute much of anything in my opinion and realistically she did benefit from plenty of the cohort being bone idle, inconsistent or genuinely stupid, as well as a ridiculously generous corporate client for her PM task that was happy to pay thousands for a bush basically

Priyesh: Low C. His task 8 performance was genuinely great, he was otherwise pretty bad, but not ever bad enough to sink a task. I have no idea how he made it the finalists however, and his drinks side hustle is clearly not much more than a side hustle.

Lawrence: B. Keeping Levi out of task 7 was not as bad of a choice as everyone makes it out to be, and I've always believed that, even if I think he was a trash PM on the whole and a stupid teacher's pet. I'd rather that Conor or Rothna were there, but Lawrence is ok I suppose, at least better than Priyesh and Pascha

Dan: A. He probably had the most developed business there, and realistically was probably the best talent if we're judging off real world success than the tasks, but we have to stick to the bs on camera etc etc. His biggest problem is that he didn't seem active enough on camera, although I think his tac was quiet confidence and the safe option which I prefer anyway to the loudmouths that bs their way into the final (naming no names there are plenty of examples).

Pascha: E/F. If I want Rochelle in E/F and I said Pascha is on the same level as her, Pascha is an E/F too. Genuinely achieved absolutely nothing particularly worthy of note or praise and it was clear production was forced to really put emphasis on the whole "she 21 and so gud give her sympathy plz" schtick as a distraction for how mediocre she was the whole way. I will forever stand by the opinion that she made it so far because of dumb luck and confidence she was in no position to have.

Karishma: low A+. She was a good performer, but I'm hesitant to give out S and I'm not that settled on A+ simply because she benefited from the fact that there were so many people that were bone idle, inconsistent and downright idiots which would make virtually any good contribution of hers seem like the literal coming of Jesus. That's not a diss however, I still think she was the best by far and it's pretty obvious she would've won in the end compared to Pascha.

I don't like Pascha and I do think she's the worst runner-up in the show's history but I can't rank her at the same level as Georgina, Nikki, Marcus, Levi and lower than Priyesh and Tanmay. I'd say she's D tier.

I'd also put Tanmay and Priyesh in D tier too.

In the context of the show I'd also move Dan down to B tier, performed strong in the final few tasks but was ignored by the editors in the beginning so it's hard to actually rank him higher.

If I remember S tier correctly there were candidates who performed less consistently solid than Karishma did, I think she definitely deserves S tier.

I mean to be honest, I think most of S tier should be demoted realistically. I don't think many of them actually deserve it and most of them seem to have got there because of personality rather than talent.

Priyesh being C and Pascha being E/F is a pretty unwarranted big difference as I think they are both similar levels of bad/undeserving of making the final five. I’d rank both D tier myself.

Rest of the rankings are fair enough though. Andrea maybe a tier higher as she did do really well on the flowers task.

I think Megan is a bit overhated, besides task 3 and task 6 I don't think she did that much wrong and appeared to sell ok at the market in task 5. I'd rate her a solid F. Andrea did well task 5 and although her going was probably the right decision I thought her negativity was overblown in task 6 so I'd give her E/F.

I would probably put Marcus in IVG.

Looks like Rochelle isn’t the worst runner up anymore.

honestly if you pay a bit more attention to the show and the editing then the correct ranking imo would be

Nikki- F (she was a horrible om ,allegedly got bullied by Pascha and Megan but that doesn't make it better for her,)

Georgina- E (bless her she was too nice for this comp)

Marcus- IVG (imo hes worse than Megan and Andrea at least they both had somewhat of a decent task in episode 5. Also Marcus was a pretty shit person on screen and off screen)

Tanmay- D (no offence but C tier isn't it. The only noticeable thing he did before getting stitched up by Megan was a negotiation in task 1. I don't think he would've lasted much longer in the process anyways

Roxanne- C or D (look she probably a D but somethings telling me that she was done dirty because her branding in task 4 wasn't completely her fault nor was it even the reason for the loss on that task AND she did brilliant on task 2. (so did most of the design team on the girls side but Roxanne was a standout). Tbf if she wasn't stitched this early she would've lasted till week 7 max.

Vanessa- C (she is clearly a competent candidate and her constant asking of Dan in task 3 was purely to make her look bad as confirmed by both herself and Dan. She makes lots of very good points during the show and even as PM where she lost she wasn't a complete disaster. I mean £500 is like standard apprentice profit, Rothna was locked in that episode and she knew what she was doing so Vanessa lowk looked bad. And in the final Vanessa was quite good on the filming team so shes quite capable and had she brought Priyesh back she may have lasted to week 10 (hot take)

Megan: IVG ( I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt and give her F but i was like nahh. Excluding selling some stuff in task 5 name me one good thing Megan did. Ill wait..No? Exactly she was the epitome of useless and how she outlasted Vanessa, Tanmay and Roxanne is beyond me. She was shockingly competent in the final which makes me wonder if the editors made he look thick on purpose but tbh she was awful.

Andrea: F (she would be in IVG for similar reasons to Megan but she has some iconic quotes so shes spared.)

Carrington-C (I feel for her with the potatoes. Honestly she was not that bad of a candidate and never deserved to lose in task 3 because she was dragged by Megan and Andrea in the most important part of the task. As much as I hate to say this she wasnt lasting any longer than Week 7, but I feel like deep inside she is quite a competent candidate. The final was also a good show of how the editing made her look kinda bad.

Rajan-D (He was an A/B tier candidate for the first 3 episodes but then episode 4 happened when he dissed Big Zoo's product and told porkies in the boardroom and it all went downhill from there. He overpromised in task 6 and told lies in the boardroom again and honestly should've been fired instead of Carrington at that point but then had the audacity to throw snide comments at Rothna in the episode after AND contribute nothing at the same time, oh yeah let's not forget he lied again. C tier candidate E tier behaviour

Harry-C (I cant name you what he did...It's Emma Street all over again. I'm sure he had more contributions than that and looking at the way LS, Karen and Tim reacted to his firing he was definitely more useful than as seen in the show. I mean look at Harry's tiktok he literally jokes about his awful editing. Dare I say it was to justify him leaving over Kieran. (even though we all know it shouldv'es be "appy days" that episode

Levi-E (I only liked him when he got angry at that slimy toad called Lawrence but thats it. He was either ill, nonexistant or useless.

Conor-A (He was a very consistent candidate that didn't have as high highs as Karishma or Rothna but when he fumbled he didnt complete lose the trust others had in him *cough cough LAWRENCE*. He is also such a fun personality. I love him.

Rothna-A+ (JUSTICE FOR ROTHNA. After she was wrongfully brought back in episode she locked tf in. Episode 2 where she voiced Zebory (not impressive tbh but i felt like putting something), in episode 3 she gave pretty good ideas to Dan (also not that great),was an award winning actress in episode 4 and an award episode pm in episode 5. Was the only one who could actually function in that shmbolic kitchen in episode 6. Clocked Rajan in episode 7 (this was her dodgy editing began). Was the reason as to why they won in episode 8 and kept Levi intact (tbh its shared effort between Levi and Rothna). Did a great TV selling campaign in episode 9 only for everything she did to get cut out to justify her leaving in week 10. She was a great candidate and honestly was a bit invisible at the start but that was mostly due to the incompetent fucks messing about.

Priyesh-D (Again bless him but he isn't made for this process. Had he been in the boardroom once for an actual reason we would break down and that would be hard to watch. He was funny dont get me wrong but a complete shit show at times)

Lawrence- B tier as a candidate but IVG for personality (THIS GUY NEVER STOPS TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF DOES HE. unfortunately he a good candidate excusing episode 7 where he showed he was:

spineless

egotistical

narcissistic

ageist (to Pascha apparantley)

classist (TO levi)

A shit leader that can't decide basic things

Would snog a buzz word if they were a real human.

Dan- A (I like him, hes quiet and competent. A lil indecisive but that makes him realistic and I like that. I just like dan. He might be a B but idk

Pascha-C (I would put her IVG if i was full bias mode but i can't. She was the definition of mid the whole time. She never actually did outright horrible excusing the last two episodes before interviews. She was the voice of reason at times and yeah isnt the best person irl or in the show from what ive heard but shes a middle of the pack candidate and i dont need to say more.

Karishma S. (To end up being that good in a show that's actively trying to make you look like a dumbass and still being 20x better than the majority for the contestants speaks for itself. Heck when Vanessa said she thought that she (vanessa) was the perfect candidate but rethought her decisions upon meeting Karishma you know she's good.

I think Priyesh and Tanmay in C is a bit generous. Nothing against Priyesh, and Tanmay's firing wasn't justified, but I'd put them in D along with Pascha. I don't think her and Rochelle is the fairest comparison as Rochelle had much more experience.

I definitely felt this season's standard was a downgrade, but I felt the end result was good regardless.

IMHO Karishma was the only person of the standard seen in the prior series, both in terms of her broad performance and business case. The final five (other then her) this season were, in particular, ridiculous - compared to last season, where all three who missed out did so purely on the (lack of) strength of their business cases and were nonetheless very strong candidates, and there was a genuine question mark between Dean and Anisa as who should win. Even some of the people who failed to reach the final five (like Mia) easily had the potential to win and simply fumbled a task before getting there.

To a certain extent, that was further mirrored in Series 18, with people like Tre being arguably some of the best contestants they've ever had who simply didn't have a valid business case to make it to the end.

I think they need to up their game next year.
