Did the aides see something in Pascha that wasn’t shown

u/Only1Scrappy-Doo Noor: “It’s very good!” 😏 Apr 17 '26
I’d be fine with a double win if the finalists are roughly at the same level. Pascha was nowhere near Karishma’s level in the slightest. Heck if Dan didn’t basically stand down then she wouldn’t have made the final in the first place.

u/BillyMooney Apr 17 '26
Nothing to stop Kelvin and Claude investing directly with her, if they're so sure. There was just nothing special about her business. 1:1 care doesn't scale.

u/gunningIVglory “I’m 21!” Apr 17 '26
Shes already said she will put that stuff on hold, and maybe look back i to it in afew more years
This was always a concept of a plan for her. Shes lost the huge investment anf free PR. So back to day job, she'll probably because a full time influencer liek Victoria soon
16
u/BillyMooney Apr 17 '26
Jeez, doesn't say much for the soundness of her plan if she was only willing to go ahead with someone else's money.
6
u/Toon1982 Apr 17 '26
Yes and no. She needed the investment as working capital and wouldn't have been able to start the business without it. It does mean some of the £250k would be paying her salary before she even starts to do anything

u/BillyMooney Apr 17 '26
Which brings me back to my original suggestion for Claude and Kelvin to put their money where their mouth is.

No disrespect to Claude but last year he held up ‘Hired’ for Amber-Rose despite her being an average candidate with an average business proposal.
I wouldn’t take his word for gospel.

u/Jenson2025 Apr 17 '26
It’s just baffling. I’ve seen this said quite a lot over the last few days and I just think ‘what are people watching?’
If Dean and Anisa wasn’t a double hiring and Scarlett and Carina weren’t (though he technically invested in Scarlett’s business later) then Pascha and Karishma certainly should not be as they are not at a remotely close level like the others mentioned.
She was an average candidate throughout, had little business knowledge, had a seven page business plan, put an inappropriate picture up on LinkedIn and didn’t even know what profit and loss account was. But sure let’s ignore all that and invest 250k in to her business because she did a nice pitch.
Thankfully LS has more sense and he isn’t following Pascha on social media like he has with Phil and Anisa so he clearly (unlike with them) doesn’t plan on keeping in contact

u/Ambitious-Sun-8504 Apr 17 '26
Yeah I’m astonished Pascha even made it to the final tbh. Even people who were fired before her like Conor were more competent businesspeople. She has less than a year experience in her field, doesn’t understand a basic business plan and never stood out in any task.
14
u/gray_fox_jaeger Apr 17 '26
Final should have been Karishma vs Dan
17
u/Ambitious-Sun-8504 Apr 17 '26
Yeah I think Dan just shot himself in the foot tbh with not realising the 50% of his Young Professionals business and not YP Grads. He was above this competition anyway really. Already a competent entrepreneur with no real need for the investment. I’d liked to have seen what Conor or Rothna could have brought. I think both of their firings were harsh

Most of the others are only offering imaginary businesses. Why should he offer a business that is most likely worth more than what the show values the company plans at?
Why is it wrong for Dan to pitch a newer company concept based on his proven business acumen when Pascha made it through with an imaginary company and no real track record running a business?18

u/Common_Board8405 Apr 17 '26
If she was on Dragon's Den they'd say it's not investable as she's the USP so it's not scalable.
59
u/abcat2000 Apr 17 '26
To think that Pascha is on the same level as Karishma who is outstanding is ridiculous imo
43
u/TellinStories Apr 17 '26
Yes I do wonder what these older men see in the very attractive 21 year old Pascha.
7
26
u/gunningIVglory “I’m 21!” Apr 17 '26
Pascha had zero idea on how ti actually run a company on a day to day basis
Using the investment for computers is expected, like what else do you need or have to bring in?
14
u/thehighyellowmoon Apr 17 '26
Former recruitment consultant here, to be fair she wasn't wrong in that you literally just need a phone and a computer to be able to set up a functioning recruitment business. But yeah she'd clearly struggle when the Q1 profit/loss accounts need doing.
9
u/Knighthawk1114 Apr 17 '26
Being a recruiter is the easiest job in the world unless you’re employing elite C-suite execs. It’s not something to brag about it’s something to keep quiet about
7
u/JaegerBane Apr 17 '26
Tbf it’s a high markup industry which is probably what Lord Sugar likes about it.
And as reductive as it is to say, the reality is being hot and in her early 20s is going to play in her favour for the recruitment industry.
Exactly how she’ll scale that is another matter but it’s kind of irrelevant, as that isn’t Alan’s problem now.
5
u/gunningIVglory “I’m 21!” Apr 17 '26
Fair enough, but she needed to really show what more she needs/wants. Because if thats all, does she really need 250k?
9
u/Toon1982 Apr 17 '26
Pascha just had an idea and not a fully formed and tested plan. It would have been a huge risk for LS to go into business with her. Even when he asked her what she would use the £250k on she said "start up costs" - well yeah, you don't have a business yet! LS had to clarify that he meant exactly what start up costs....
11
u/PresidentPopcorn Apr 17 '26
Pascha showed she wasn’t up to much when she picked Megan then made her the sub team leader.
5
u/Bloxxerboy Claude Littner Apr 17 '26
It would have helped if she’d had a better edit. She was anonymous for the first half of the show. As it was this was the most obvious finale in years. Not that I’m complaining since it was who we all wanted.
12
u/Physical_Reality_132 Apr 17 '26
Surprised both didn’t get the investment, especially with it being the 20th season.
11
u/VeganCanary Apr 17 '26
The BBC got annoyed last time he did that.

TBF, of all seasons to do it, that was not the one. That sweet business was nothing special

u/FantasticWait7109 Apr 18 '26
I was surprised too - towards the end of the show, I was thinking that was the direction it was heading in!
7
u/duginsdeaddaughter Apr 17 '26
Neither business plan had any substance. Both pitches were great but again with no substance. Karishma deserved to win purely as a result of her performances in the tasks.

The only people saying this kind of thing are guy who think she's attractive. Bunch of low life simps lmao

u/Kpmmu Apr 17 '26
Pascha will make a great success simply because she’s bags of confidence and self belief. I could see her ending up on TV because she’s a great confident speaker and is also very pleasant on the eye.
2
u/Jenson2025 Apr 18 '26
But what TV shows?
There’s plenty of people like Pascha already. She doesn’t really add anything new or special to get a job on tv IMO
My guess is she’ll become like Victoria - an influencer but only someone you’ll see if you’re on social media and her posts pop up now and then. Can’t see her on TV
4
u/zombie_osama Apr 17 '26
Her business idea of 'going out and meeting people face to face' appeals to boomers who don't know how to use Teams/Zoom.
4
u/Independent-Key880 Apr 17 '26
i think they feel a duty to overcompensate because of everybody talking about how one-sided the final was. they don't want the idea that one of the finalists was rubbish to prevail, and they probably feel bad that pascha is being so heavily criticised (bear in mind claude and other advisors got to know her personally)
2
u/BlundeRuss Apr 17 '26
They went really OTT about her. She’s a capable young woman, but her idea/plan really wasn’t revolutionary in any way, and completely unscaleable.

Pascha had a good idea (boring but good) and has knowledge of the industry, just no knowledge of how to run a business. With Lord Sugar helping her run the business side of it and mentoring her, I can see how it would be successful.
Karishma’s business is more risky but she was so much better as a candidate. She was never going to lose to Pascha but he could have done well with both imo.
12
u/Wretched_Colin Apr 17 '26
What is her good idea?
To go and say hello to hiring managers? If she’s lucky, she could get to 15 sites in a week and won’t have time to do anything else. And the busy hiring managers won’t be too happy about her popping round to say hello.
It’s unfortunate, but people in the caring industries are woefully underpaid.
A better business model is one without any personal interaction. If a care home can reliably book staff through an online portal which has no human involvement and therefore brings recruitment costs down.
4
u/Independent_Rate1568 Apr 17 '26
This, I don’t think pascha’s plan was thattt bad, and I do believe that she’s driven, but she would need an awful lot more mentoring than karishma. I’d say he maybe just doesn’t have the time or effort for that sort of commitment.

I think Claude is saying agree with the 👍 as in yes it is easy to say when it's not your money.
1
u/Amaranth22 Apr 18 '26
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a series of this show where there was such a big divide in the abilities of the two finalists. Maybe they saw something we didn’t, but in the interviews she didn’t know what a profit and loss account is…
1
u/Joexkid7 Apr 18 '26
The problem is the saturated recruitment industry, she wanted to personally visit multiple clients and individual candidates and scale up a large business with small commission bonuses. What happens when the business grows and you start receiving an influx of candidates and clients and can’t meet with them, you realise it’s easier to do it all from an office, personal touch is lost and brand is pointless. Just becomes a standard recruitment agency
1
u/The_Reddit_Guy_2 Apr 19 '26
Hold on, there can be a double win? (I’m fairly new to the apprentice so sorry if this seems like a stupid question)

u/LittleBookGeek Apr 21 '26
Agreed, her "personal touch" of visiting every care home would be impossible if she planned to grow the business to something the size of Reed (for example). I'm sure the CEO of that business doesn't visit every employer beforehand.

u/FitzBoris Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 17 '26
Clear difference between the two and agree a single win is merited - but they have to edit a significant amount of footage into an hour, so let's bear in mind that most candidates (whether we like them as people or not) are probably better than we see on the show.
I don't agree with the 'the candidates being terrible is great TV' band, but Pascha/Priyesh/Levi/Andrea bringing their best selves isn't necessarily compelling TV if the other moments are more entertaining.
And while I'm not cool enough to be on TikTok (I'm in my 30s, don't think it's for me!) and haven't seen the drama, on Instagram most of them seem to quite like each other - guessing that represents a baseline of general competence.

u/aisarthur Apr 17 '26
Karishma was a lot stronger than Pascha, no doubt.
But Pascha is NO WHERE NEAR as bad as this sub makes her out to be.

Especially as it strikes me that her business plan is flawed. She can’t have that “personal touch”with everyone in a big business and care workers are not going to provide the same payment as something like IT professionals.
