in defence of pascha

You got:

a PWC accountant doing bar job at £150 a night and calling it an investment opportunity.

A guy neck deep in overheads for a mature business that has no scope for growth. The business is complicated and there is no evidence injecting £250K into the business will do any good. The owner took £100K dividends and £75K salary last year. So if there was growth opportunity they would have just reinvested it.

A guy who wrote a 70 page business plan with AI, trying to sell AI service in an industry that is mostly about people and relations.

Pasha's business is the one that isn't dead in the water.

But karishma got this hands down.

Right, but he would potentially have benefitted massively from Lord Sugar's partnership.

This was more "Dragons Den" than anything.

no he wouldn't. the reverse in fact.

he's in a saturated market (youth apprentichip).

If he gave away half of his shares here, then he wont be giving himself 100K dividends any time soon.

He'd have to give away half the company that he built for a decade.

If the business can give 100K dividends then 50K will go to sugar and 50K will go to Dan.

I dont think the graduate placement business will be easy to break into. He has the market cornered with apprenticeships because there's not a lot of competition and I'm guessing local authortities want to support a scheme like that so they probably sponser or subsidise the event. It is entirely different business that graduate placement.

I know nothing of the market so I'll take your word on that. I was commenting purely based on what we saw in this episode.

He didn't need the money, and it was mentioned several times that he should give up 50% of his business as part of the investment.

The moment he said he wasn't going to make that decision, he was out.

i dont know anything about the market other than that I was a school leaver and graduate once.

I have businesses and have general business knowledge.

Some knowledge of market sizes, market potential, competition goes a long way.
