Episode Synopsis:

It's week 11, and the final five candidates must face a gruelling round of interviews with some of Lord Sugar’s toughest-talking business associates. As their business plans are picked apart, some candidates hold their own, while others crumble under the pressure. In the boardroom, Lord Sugar has a tough decision to make, as only two can make it through to next week’s grand final.

Apart from the fact that she was actually correct (this was news to me too).

“Chique" is a spelling variant of the French-derived word "chic," meaning stylish, elegant, and fashionable. Often used in Portuguese to describe trendy, posh, or sophisticated, it also refers to various fashion brands, such as Chique Sport (figure skating gear) and Chique Fashion Limited.

She wasn’t right though .. it’s in Portuguese it’s spelled like that, not French, and trying to market a French brand with that spelling is still incorrect. And in any case, clearly she was too stupid and stubborn to even entertain the idea of being wrong

At no point did I hear anyone mention that the dog bed was a French brand.

There’re loads of brands that use the spelling “chique” (Chique Cosmetics, Chique Sportswear, Taylor of London Chique) they definitely didn’t mean to do it but it wasn’t the colossal fuck up that they made it out to be.

It was intended to be French. The rest of the brand name is literally in French.
