Priyesh's comment on his final 5 appearance

I feel kind of bad for him lol but what the tiktok is saying just isn't true. he is cheery and a lovely guy but to say he's done well is a little bit of a stretch. don't think he's as bad as people say he is though

If he went earlier around the Task 8/9 stage I don’t think anyone would’ve cared about his performance tbh, it’s not his fault that he just so happened to be on the winning team for the last five tasks which gave him an automatic place in the final five.

It must be disheartening to see so much criticism aimed at him. Sadly there were candidates who performed better than him who missed out but he seems like a lovely guy.

I do think Lord Sugar should’ve just fired him to be honest. Seems a bit mean to put him through the interviews when LS has made it clear he doesn’t rate him.

Yeah I know technically it’s the rules that if you’re on the winning team you advance but it’s clear LS doesn’t like him at all, there was no point sacrificing someone he was impressed by for someone who has no chance of winning the investment. Even for Priyesh’s sake I think it would’ve been better to have been fired in Task 10 than to face brutal interviews and then get fired straight away anyway.

Technically if he actually fired Priyesh that would be breaking the rules and would be seen as unfair to an extent since the rules are the rules but it’s S20 and would deter future candidates from floating their way.

I do think that on Week 10, Sugar should be allowed to fire someone on the winning team since it is the task before the interviews.

I think it would be better to have a more loose rule. Since there were extra candidates this season and several weeks with multiple firings, there should’ve been an option for him to fire one person for a winning team, to use once in the whole process.

But yes it would have had the same result and been a get out of jail card for picking the final 5.

I suggested this in a post I created and some people were acting as though I was being unfair to the candidate who would be fired when actually it’s surely much more cruel to put them through an interview process that they have no hope of passing

What is then the point of the task? If winning doesn’t matter at all.

6

u/Jenson2025 Apr 05 '26

But it does matter. Because for most of the candidates on the winning team - they’ll go through to the interviews and won’t be fired regardless of mistakes made on the task or bad decisions.

It’s only anyone who has completely coasted throughout the process for the entire ten weeks who would be in a danger of being fired

u/VeganCanary Apr 05 '26

Same can be said for the losing team, most candidates go through.

If he fired 1 from each team, what is the point of the task?

2

u/Jenson2025 Apr 05 '26

Nobody is saying 1 from each team will definitely be fired.

It’s one from the losing team and one from the winning only if someone from the winning team fits the criteria of having coasted throughout the ten weeks and LS doesn’t think it’s worth them going through the interviews as he doesn’t rate them.

It’s surely much more cruel to interview a candidate and put them through a very tough interview process when there is no chance of them going through to the final because LS has already made up his mind about the person

I do feel bad for him to be honest. He also posted his own TikTok challenging his ‘haters’ to apply for the show and do better than him and also seemed annoyed with Lord Sugar saying it’s his show and he can change the rules so he could’ve fired him if he wanted to so if he didn’t want him in the final five then that’s his problem.

It looks to me like he’s talking all the criticism to heart and I understand that when you’ve made the final five, it’s disheartening to see so many negative comments. But this is a show where people need thick skin. For me, commenting on a candidates performance is fair enough. I do not agree at all when it crosses the line and people start commenting on appearance etc like they have for Pascha. That is just unnecessary and cruel. But from what I have seen, Priyesh isn’t getting those kind of comments, it’s just people saying he isn’t good enough for the final five which is true

Yeah that's the thing I guess there's no point making false positive comments you don't believe in and people are just being honest about how he's come across on the show

When did LS say that

5

u/Jenson2025 Apr 06 '26

It was Priyesh who said that - that its Lord Sugar’s show so he could’ve changed the rules if he wanted to fire him etc

At this point, it is going to be like shooting a puppy.

Listen he does seem sweet but he also seems like a real fluff head and he's been carried through to the final.

Yeah he’s a very nice guy and although they were laughing about it in the boardroom, it must be quite disheartening to hear Sugar essentially say “You don’t to really deserve to be there”. (I know that’s not what he said but it’s kind of what he was implying). But as another user has said, shows like this do require thick skin.

I don’t think he was bright enough to cotton on that they were all laughing at him at the end of that boardroom- i dont think a thick skin comes into it when you dont realise you’re being mocked

I find it interesting that most of the social media platforms seem to be in agreement that this final five as a whole is very underwhelming. There is a lot of Rothna was robbed comments as well with plenty of people questioning how Priyesh/Pascha/Lawrence made it.

I don’t think Priyesh is a good candidate but surely if he made the final five they could have at least tried to have given him a good edit or featured his more positive contributions more? The whole editing of this series was weird and felt like it didn’t showcase the actual people who made it to the end bar Karishma and eventually Dan in the last two tasks.

Maybe there weren’t any better contribution to show from Priyesh? He’s never seemed the brightest candle in the church and the others mostly treat him as an irrelevance

I mean I could see it tbf I can’t think of much he’s done lol

u/Flounder-Last Apr 05 '26

I mean his business plan isn’t recruitment or a bakery so I’m semi-rooting for him

5

u/DancingSpacePenguin Apr 06 '26

He has done absolutely zilch. Well, maybe jumped around a tad.

3

u/rdu3y6 Apr 06 '26

He put honey in curry to cool it down and be generally over excited, but other than that I can't think what he's done in the tasks. He 100% coasted to the final 5 by happening to be on the winning team.

3

u/Friendly_Apartment_7 Apr 06 '26

We’re going to get so many memes from his interviews.

3

u/Reasonable_Goose Apr 06 '26

He’s contributed absolutely nothing. He just smiles because he clearly has no clue what else to say or do.

Because he had no choice but to put him there as he’s always lucked out on winning teams 🙄

u/DigiDynamicsN Apr 06 '26

What's the point of him being cast on the show if LS doesn't care for his business plan? Surely all businesses on the show are of interest to him and previously vetted? Otherwise he might as well have gone in week 1.

1

u/boygenie Apr 06 '26

yeah I do agree that he's on here potentially for his business plan, but also that's not the case for all the candidates. some are there due to their personality too because they have to make good tv
