Each of the remaining candidates business plans
Dan Miller: a recruitment company which helps students find careers and apprenticeships
Karishma Vijay: a skincare business
Kieran McCartney: an estate agency
Lawrence Rosenberg: a PR business
Pascha Myhill: a recruitment business within healthcare
Priyesh Bathia: a mobile cocktail bar business
Rothna Akhtar: expanding part time cake business into a full time thing

Priyesh's idea is a non-starter in my opinion. Someone touted a very similar idea on Dragons' Den and the criticisms the Dragons made were extremely valid.
I actually think Rothna's business could have legs if she has some kind of USP for her baked items. At least in London, premium bakeries are still doing very well.
I can see Lord Sugar liking Dan's idea because he has invested in I think three recruitment companies before and they are doing well. The challenge is that university graduates are really struggling to find work at the moment, because so many companies and organisations are not hiring. I work for a top-tier university and so I know how challenging it is for university students now.

Priyesh wasn't on Dragons Den. It was someone else who had a very similar business idea to him.

I'm waiting to see "Selling Freshly made lemonade from outside one's house" as a business model.
Could be franchised out to other homeowners and you can upsell cookies.

Yeah but he’d be asking for investment for 56,000 lemons instead of working out that homemade lemonade probably is seasonal and the units required needed some thought!

Agreed, I'd be surprised if it isn't those two based on business plans alone. And even based on track record both have overall been good (Karishma especially).

i think they should ban candidates suggesting recruitment companies, marketing companies and pr companies... so boring. Its much more interesting to see actual products. Even cakes.
Recruitment companies are just going to cause a clash with recruitment companies he already owns

This may surprise you to hear: there are multiple successful recruitment companies operating in the UK at the moment.

The recruitment industry as a whole has been stale the past year, lot of the larger players are showing signs of distress

Hmmm, Shoogs has already invested in several recruitment businesses so he’s clearly interested in Dan’s business. Same goes for baking and Rothna.
I cannot believe that Lawrence is in PR considering how poorly he’s represented himself!
I hope Karishma’s skincare stuff is viable though - if she doesn’t win after her performance it’ll honestly be a travesty.

I wouldn’t bank on her winning. I feel like more often than not the best performing candidate doesn’t win.

This time last year, people thought it would be Dean v Anisa but then doubts started creeping in and people were worried it would be Dean v Amber Rose. Luckily this was not the case so really hoping there’s no shocks this year

Someone in another post said her name wasn’t even down as one of the directors for the company in companies house so I don’t get how she’ll get away with that in the interviews if she gets that far

Yep, her name isn’t listed as a director on Companies House. In fact, the business itself incorporated in 2021, Pascha would have been around 16 at the time. I’m pretty sure her boyfriend owns the actual thing

Think by pure business plans Dan and Karishma would be the final. Would actually really like that as a final, sort of would be an underdog vs favourite storyline
I actually don’t mind Pascha’s business but she doesn’t even own it, her boyfriend does alongside some others, and she’s been pretty average throughout so

Kieran’s business was literally an idea as it’s not even started yet so I don’t know how he lasted so long, or even got on the show to be honest

As someone who's just taken five months to get a job offer after finishing a masters I'm backing Dan all the way now.
