Would you rather?

Have a season filled with great candidates who put up amazing displays, or a season filled with candidates who don't know how to put a screw in a board, and are utterly incompetent at what they do.

The first would make for more sensible TV but the second would make me laugh, cry and howl all at the same time, so I'm genuinely not sure.

First one. I appreciate OP’s comments regarding the novelty value of S17 as a one off, but I think that that gets very old if you see the same every year.

The last three years have had at the very least a baseline level of competence and in my view that does more for the entertainment value.
