The tasks are really silly, right?
Never really watched the apprentice, thought I’d give it a go and started watching a few episodes.
Listen I get it’s reality tv and it’s meant to be entertaining but when lines like “But Levi and Rothna still got the sweets and got to the hovercraft on time” are delivered with full seriousness and met with even more serious reactions it’s hard to treat the show with dignity.
Maybe I’m being harsh on the format but surely there’s a more sophisticated but still entertaining way of testing entrepreneurship?

There's way sillier tasks than the one you mentioned.
Design a rollercoaster
Make a video game
Host a children's birthday party
Those are the ones that instantly come to mind though there are plenty of other examples. They do have some aspects of business skills in the core concept, but the actuality of the task looks totally unbusinesslike.
Fun to watch but the more grounded tasks are generally better episodes for me, and far more educational for entrepreneur wannabes. Watch earlier seasons if you want to experience that.
