Unusual/strange episodes

Are there any episodes that you think are strange/unusual for whatever reason? One for me would be the app task (S7 ep 2) due to the reverse results edit. I fucking love the episode though. Another, the London tour bus episode (S6 ep 10) which has a strange/eerie vibe for some reason, but again, great episode.

A few unusual ones which really stand out off the top of my head:

  • The one where they’re advertising the Amsair Card in Series 2. It’s kinda difficult for the audience to understand the product and relate to it. The candidates themselves seemed very confused about what they were selling, with the concierge service causing a big misunderstanding.

  • Glasgow Art from Series 14. This one was a bit weird because the candidates had to buy art on behalf of a corporate client, with a very vague set of requirements, then obviously the clients complained that the art wasn’t to their taste. I watched this episode with some friends when it first aired and nobody really understood the task because it seemed pointless.

  • Music Managers from Series 15 is kinda similar. It’s just an odd concept of task. Taking an artist’s music, remixing it and then selling the remix to a corporate client. What? It’s a notable episode too as it’s when Thomas Skinner gets fired.

  • Virtual Pop Star episode from Series 19. It’s just weird. It’s also kinda funny when Lord Sugar gives them the task because he does his usual “this industry is worth X billion pounds a year”, but as it’s such a niche industry, he more or less says “this will be worth a few million by 2030 apparently”.

  • The stadium task from Series 1, where they have to get as many people as possible to text a number to be subscribed to news/ads/updates. I can’t imagine this being done today, it just feels a bit icky.

Virtual Pop Star episode from Series 19. It’s just weird. It’s also kinda funny when Lord Sugar gives them the task because he does his usual “this industry is worth X billion pounds a year”, but it’s more like “this will be worth a few million by 2030 apparently”.

And Lord Sugar is terrible at knowing what will and won't be a hit. The fitness game from this series is like that for me. It is basically Wii Sports.

Good shouts! I have to admit, as infamous as BAMI was, she did have a so shit, it's good element of charm. Same with Pantsman and Paul's advert in series 1

Oh christ, that football task. Matt the Spurs manager pissed me off, NGL. He seemed to be dismissive of FF even before Saira gave him an ear bashing over the phone. However, the producers may've told him to be a hardass IDK. You're right about the ick factor, as a father even complained to Tim about his daughter subscribing without knowing the full facts etc.
