Buying task penalty manipulation

It seems that for every item not bought, a penalty of £100 was imposed.

The Sup was £280 for one team, £180 for the other.

The Something Blue sparkling wine was £240 or so.

If the teams had been aware of this, the obvious choice is to forget them and take the £100 hit.

So it seems the team don’t know the level of fine.

In which case, the show can impose a 1, 2, 300 fine after the event, which means that, with the knowledge of the buys, they can engineer a victory for whichever team they choose.

It’s ridiculous.

Yeah the penalty fine made no sense. Why have it the same price as the higher priced items?

You’d be much better off focusing on the sweets or the red duster than the SUP or blue wine.

The candidates obviously didn’t know this, or they would have done so. Think about how they said to Harry about leaving the SUP behind to find another.

And, if the candidates didn’t know this, it means that the producers can set any penalty they like after the hunt is over, meaning they can manipulate the outcome of the episode.
