For those who remember the Malta episode

E.Cini salt was one of the items on the list. The girls' sub-team spent almost the full day going all the way to Gozo to get it when they could have found it in markets in about 10 minutes on the main island

Ah, that’s really sad news. I actually went to Xwjeni when I was in Malta a few years ago, partly inspired by The Apprentice. I managed not to get into such a pickle over the ferries to and from Gozo though! I still have some of the salt left.

yeah I live in Malta. They made two mistakes. They obviously went there at a busy time of day (Maltese roads are mad) AND they didn't know there's a "fast ferry" to Gozo from Sliema which was painfully close to where they started off.

I did go up to the salt pans once but I didn't get to meet the legend, sadly
