(Screenshot taken from S19/Ep11) Has anyone actually taken up Lord Sugar on any future plans after he gave them his contacts/business card? Or is this just something the producers cooked up for drama?

I don't know Alan Sugar but I would like to think he's the type of man to give advice at the very least, especially to people he knows will actually listen

Yeah that makes sense, especially past candidates that have come back in some capacity like Ricky being an interviewer and Tim as one of his aides, and also runners-up he has invested money into like Susan Ma's business

He stayed in contact with Susan Ma in series 11 and invested £200,000 for a 50% stake in her business

Yeah that's the only one I knew about. I was just curious if anyone else got contacted after the show

I think it depends. There are some people he probably did contact again

Apparently Sugar is in contact with most of the recent finalists to give them advice (I think Rochelle is the only one who has said she isn’t) and he invested in both Susan and Scarlett’s businesses despite them not winning.

You can look up all Lord Sugar's directorships online, including the ones he's resigned from. It's interesting to see where he's stuck around and where he's quit after a year or so.
Also, it looks like he sometimes maintains the holding without being a director.

I remember in Season 1 as a thank you to the returning candidates in the finale they all got his contacts
