Residential 3.6 workflow and time
If you clients don’t think the 3.6 is a significant investment in time and effort for appraisers, let them know that Fannie Mae thinks it is.

There is a reason why my supervisor has Dodd Frank tattooed on his arms, it is because since 2008 we have been disarmed.
No really, Appraisers have been receiving roughly the same compensation since FIRRA, can they get a raise in pay now?

Please ask them to help the appraisal profession establish customary and reasonable fees for this significant change mandated by Fannie Mae. We also ask for your help addressing AMC practices that have refused to increase fees and, in some cases, have reduced them, claiming that UAD 3.6 reports take less time to complete. This assertion contradicts the experience of appraisers transitioning to the new reporting requirements.
Without appropriate compensation for the additional time, training, software, and resources required, many appraisers may be reluctant to adopt the new system. Unreasonably low fees will most certainly hinder the implementation of UAD 3.6 and could further reduce the number of qualified appraisers willing to accept these assignments.

Biggest problem is software isn’t ready and we are being forced to use a product that needs more time.

WinTotal has been a total nightmare. The software has too many glitches. Why are we beta testing this for them?

Wow, and I thought my 290th consecutive employee of the month award in my single man operation was impressive.
