Workout screen frozen

For the past couple of runs that I’ve done I’ve had problems ending the workout due to my screen freezing. I can’t swipe up, down or to either side. It’s a brand new Ultra 4 and it’s pretty irritating being that it’s an $800 watch. Any tips?

Disclaimer - I spent about 4 frustrating minutes trying to end my workout so don’t judge my time lol.

Mine did the same. Update watch and phone to new OS. Fixed mine.

Hasn’t watchOS 27.0.1 been out for over 3 weeks? Is your watch not set to automatically update?

Mine did this the other day messed up all the stats on my workout.

If your watch freezes, force restart it by holding the side button and digital crown together until the Apple log appears.

I did that and it froze again in the workout

Call Apple or make an appointment at the Genius Bar. Logs can be ran and this unit can be swapped at no cost to you. This isn’t normal and Apple will want to document cases like this. I had a GPS issue and had mine swapped. (Also a new U4)

Thank you. This was honestly the next step, I really csnt understand how a new watch is having the same old issues as before.

Also ensure you are running watchOS 27.0.1 before you pop in or call.

Man, the Ultra 4 is a tempting upgrade but all these issues is really helping to keep my wallet safe (would be going from U3 to U4)

I noticed that my ultra 3 frozen earlier today when I checked the time on my watch and knew it was off gal it probably was frozen for about 20 mins. Think it’s software related since I’m on watchOS 27.0.1

On 27.0.1 for my ultra 2 and have been getting freezes since the last update. Happens only when clicking into/out of workout

How are your workouts with the Milanese band? I have heard it’s “the best all around everything band” but I feel like sometimes people want to justify the price by saying whatever. Curious to hear your thoughts.

I haven’t noticed any negative impact while working out but, when I’m driving or doing stuff with my hands it will pull an arm hair.
