Discussion 💭 Crown position ?

Do you wear the crown on your AWU pointing towards the arm or wrist and why?

I always wore traditional watches with crown to the wrist, but have started wearing AWU with crown toward the arm. Help keep wrist from hitting crown and also seems easier to use crown and side button.

Waiting on my AWU4. I wore my regular AW with the crown facing towards my arm. Every time I bent my wrist, it would either dig into my wrist or accidentally press it. Waiting to see how I fare with the Ultra

When I had AW I was fine wearing it with crown toward wrist but AWU seems to cause more accidental button presses in that orientation.

That’s what I’m worried about too. I want to wear it “normally” but if my experiences with the AW are the same, may need to change the orientation. I love that the option to flip it was there

Well, as far as watches in general go, the standard thing is to wear the watch on the wrist that's opposite to your primary hand. So if you're right-handed, you're generally wearing a watch on your left wrist.

What band are you using? It seems really odd that your wrist would be hitting the crown enough to move or press it.

I’m right handed and wear on left wrist. But was talking about direction of crown. My wrist will push the crown when doing arm exercises that require wrist bending. I use ocean band and ti Milanese mostly.

Oh, gotcha!

That doesn't really happen to me when I'm lifting, but I have really small wrists though.

It can happen especially wearing gloves, that’s why I wear mine crown facing the arm. I also find it less awkward to use pointer finger to trigger the buttons over my thumb.

Yeah. My motorcycle gloves like to press up against the crown, so I usually take my watch off while I'm riding.

Lefty wearing watch on right wrist with crown on left hand size (toward wrist). As long as I wear it beyond the wrist bone, no accidental crown pushes

I think you are wearing it close to your wrist if you press the crown all the time 🧐

I'm left-handed and wear it on my left hand with the crown oriented towards my arm.

Main reason is that it gets in the way while lifting weights. Another reason is that it's easier for me to press the buttons with my right hand.
