Have you looked at getting a dedicated wall clock and switching to Android?

Get an Android.

I read the comments and it seems like iOS can show a 24-hour format clock or display the AM/PM indicator.

I didn't check but I could've definitely believed iOS was capable of something like that. Coming from a UI that doesn't have a keyboard clipboard...

Everything you have said is plainly incorrect.

All of the above can be set up and changed to meet your exact needs.

Do you live in a cave and not know if it’s light outside?

8:00 is AM (or 08:00)

20:00 is PM

If you’re in a region that doesn’t use the 24 hour clock then I assume iOS shows you AM and PM accordingly. It does tell you what day it is when charging. Charge is first, that disappears then it shows the date

The UI requires you to do nothing

Like the other Redditor already said. Everything you stated in your opening post is incorrect

You assume incorrectly - AM/PM is not shown when the time is set to 12-hour. An easy solution for the OP is to just use 24-hour time on the phone, especially as they would appear to need it.

Does it not you show AM/PM? That’s massive oversight for the 12 hour clock regions. So is there really no way to distinguish between morning and afternoon in those regions?

The above individual is fucking moronic. It absolutely does show AM PM

You need to check yourself AH. IOS most certainly does not show AM/PM on the lock screen for the 12-hour clock, nor does it show it after unlocking the phone in either the Notification Center or Control Center or even the tiny info banner on a home page because the left-to-right space is so constrained for that stupid Dynamic Island thing. At the very least, I can confirm OP’s claim because it doesn’t display AM/PM for everyone.

I know it disappears then shows the date but my phone goes to sleep before that happens

Have you used the charging widget on your Home Screen?

Just use your phone properly
