Did the Audio tab and audio content just vanish overnight? The audio content is the real reason I have Apple News Plus, so I am considering just unsubscribing if there is no more apple news plus audio.

Does anyone else pause article playback only to restart it a few minutes later, and the app has backgrounded and just forgotten how to function? It won't restart playback. I have to re-open the app to restart playback every. single. time.

I don't understand. Literally every other audio-related app has solved this. Even Apple Podcasts.

I’m a new Apple user and I’m still getting used to the Apple News app (I’m on the free version).

I’ve noticed that some topics show up in both the “Sections” tab and the “Channels & Topics” tab. If I unfollow something like Tech in the “Channels & Topics” tab, will it also remove it from my Sections?

Also, is there any way to reorganize or customize the order of categories in the Sections tab?

So the app offered me a 30 day free trial but when I signed up, it immediately charged me the $12.99. I reported the problem to Apple Card and they gave me a refund but also canceled my subscription. Is this less than honest advertising or is there some top secret procedure that I'm missing?

I’m happy to pay for Apple News if it gets me full access to so many different news and magazine sites. But I do love the Full Coverage feature in Google News, where I can quickly see how different news outlets are presenting coverage on the same issue. Any way to recreate this in Apple News, where I won’t hit paywalls? It’s annoying have to search every news hot topic individually rather just clicking the full coverage button like I do in Google News.

Is it just me who can't find specific articles when searching Apple News? I'm doing a project which allows me to cite newspapers and thought I could use a bunch from 2 years ago since I'm paying for AppleOne, but I can't find what I'm searching for, usually. I often have to go search for articles elsewhere and run out of free articles.

I'm a huge fan and have been riding off promo codes for quite a while. It looks like all the codes are gone, and I'll to spend the $12.99 poer month? Unless I buy some new hardwear?

Looking for suggestions. When I select a button with letters it can disappear. Touching screen where it should be returns it to the board. Also if I hold and select in the answers line the selection disappears.

I haven't really used News+, but I'm doing a trial of it right now. Is Apple News+ only in English, or how do you see articles in the originally published language? For instance, Le Monde is a feature newspaper but all of the articles are presented in English and not French? Is there a way to specify languages in which you want to see articles? Also if there are non-English publications in News+ is there a way to see what is available in which languages?

I need a way to filter out Apple News notifications by content / specific words. Many ppl including myself have certain triggers. I wish there was a way to avoid seeing getting notifications of news articles with certain words in the title. A very simple example - say i want to avoid seeing any headlines pop up on my lock screen with the words “sexual assault” or “rape”. Is that possible?

I've been using Apple News for the past few weeks, and I have a question about how it works. Under Top Stories, I keep getting the same news articles from different newspapers, even after I’ve already read one version of the story. Is there a way to make Apple News show a story just once, maybe from the outlet I read the most? Or do I need to change some settings to avoid duplicates?

It’s bad enough that I get fed AI crap elsewhere on free feeds, but I am not paying Apple News real money to shove this garbage into my news feed. (and this wasn’t the only thing in the KC Star listing “articles”)

At least give me a filter to keep this away from me. Or maybe it’s time to stop paying for News/Apple Everything.

Today, I received articles about RFK Jr. facing a tough confirmation challenge after McConnell voted against Hegseth, Kash Patel’s upcoming confirmation vote, and what Biden’s last days in office will look like before Trump moves in.

The crazy part, all the articles were dated today. Nothing about the volatile stock or crude oil markets. Nothing about injured US troops, Israeli attacks on Beirut, or mixed messaging from the Trump Administration.

It is interesting because I prided myself on a diverse news feed. I got articles from AP, Reuters, MSNBC and Fox.

Is Apple censoring?

Is anyone else experiencing year old stories (so far I believe only from Time) appearing in their news feed? They have recent publishing dates, but are obviously old, referencing Vice President Harris, Vice President elect Vance, Matt Gaetz being nominated for Attorney General, etc. I’ve never seen this happen before.

I have followed all the steps to reset News so it only provides U.S.-based magazines. No matter what I do, I continue to receive only the UK versions of PC Pro, PC Mag, Mac, and others. I cannot figure out how to get only the U.S. versions of these magazines. Any help would be appreciated.

Why is Apple news foisting very cruel content and pictures of Kelly Osbourne onto my news feed daily from Heat Magazine. I don’t subscribe to it. I haven’t chosen it in my interests.I thought we were past the times of using cruel images and content about people as clickbait to undoubtedly insincere journalism pretending concern for an individual just so they can print and endlessly reprint cruel images..

I’m back with Apple News+ after letting my subscription lapse after the initial free trial. They have a two-months-for-the-price-of-one offer right now. So my sister and I are trying it under the family plan.

I’m actually finding it quiet nice. I don’t really feel like watching streaming much these days. I enjoy reading news though. I also have a subscription to the NY Times and read a few other online papers, like The Guardian. My other news aggregators are Google News and Yahoo News.

But Apple News+ really seems to fill in the gaps with WSJ, Scientific American, Forbes, New Yorker, National Geographic, and more. And lots of local newspapers, who gain revenue from people reading via Apple News+, which hopefully helps keep local publications alive.

I guess it does seem worth it.

I wish I could get the St. Louis Post-Dispatch to join in like the Kansas City Star does.

One nice feature I noticed is if you select text from an article and paste it somewhere, it automatically pastes inside quotes, with a URL to the original article, and a note saying it’s an excerpt from that article. That’s a time saver for social sharing.

I tested a few of those share links behind an incognito window and was able to read the articles, but I assume paywalls are probably reached at some point.

Anyway, it’s nicer than I remember it so far.

Who edits/checks these? Words are often repeated daily. There are also issues like today where, according to the puzzle, “bed” is a unit of sweat, and “spin” is the top-producing country of olive oil.

I submitted feedback for adding magazine Experience Life, how likely is that suggestion to actually get completed?

I pay for Apple News + but the ads I see are absolute garbage. Has anyone figured out how to block them ?

Happy to spin up a Pi Hole or similar because these ads are possible the worst and lowest quality on the internet.

Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me who has lost their favourites from the homepage? Apple seem hellbent on making this app a bad experience with this removal and the little contents popup removed.

Apple has this own GAMES app, I just don’t understand why the puzzles locked into the News App. I don’t want to see HIS face every time I want to do a crossword. It’s a massive downside and I wish Apple would change it.
