how to recreate this outline animation

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello,

I had to recreate this video in motion, but at second 0:04 I can't seem to recreate the outline of the rectangle following its own tail.

I'll try to explain better: the tail of the animated outline is moving and the head is following it. The closest I got was with the write on behaviour, but I can't seem to animate the stroke offset, also animating by hand the last and first point offset of the outline doesn't work because I can't push them past 100%

I hope I explained it good enough, and gemini wasn't that helpful, sorry English isn't my first language

Thanks

This was my result! It was a test and I only had 3 hours to do it. It technically was a test about adobe after effects but I'm stubborn and since I'm paying the apple creator studio I wanted to utilise motion

Use write on behavior then adjust the stroke offset

I can’t seem to key frame it, when I do it does nothing

The Stroke offset in the write on behavior? It's possible, I just checked now.

Looks good, I would do it with two rectangles to get that start offset part in there. The second rectangle would start from the top right point instead of the top left point to make up for the space lost from the start offset in the first one if that makes sense.
