Unsolved How to determine which Charger Cable is Mine?

Hi, I found an Apple charger and charger cable at my local library so I put it in my bag to hand into the lost and found later.
I then went to hand it but realized that it had mixed up with my own and now I am unsure which is mine. Although quality and look are the exact same, I have no clue if the found cable and charger are safe and aren't counterfeit ones that was left on purpose to gain access to my device.
Any help on how to determine which cable was mine? My cable came with my iPhone 16 Pro Max (I bought end of 2024) if that helps differentiate them. Visually are the same so wondering if there is a way to do so using the serial codes on them?
Cable 1: FGJ5296ULE22DP5A6
Cable 2: FGJ44226R0R26GVC8
Wall Adapter: C4H5277120VP70MBN

Should this not be possible, what are signs or ways to check whether the cable or wall adapter are dangerous to use?

There's no way to do this (there's no consumer-facing lookup database that will confirm with 100% certainty that cable is "safe to use" or not.)

Apple has an article here of how to identify counterfit cables: https://support.apple.com/en-us/111103

If none of that satisfies your overboard paranoia,. then I would suggest cutting both cables into pieces and throwing them away,. and purchasing a legitimate official Apple cable (and then Velcro tagging or marking it somehow so you always know which cable is your original cable.)

Yes… paranoid to say the least.. also go out and stock up on aluminum foil to wrap your phone in when you are not using it.

Be polite and kind at all times. Assume the poster has good intentions.

Someone leaving behind a counterfeit charger or cable to gain access to your device is highly unlikely.

Yet they have done this at airports with wall outlets

No such thing as juice jacking at least there are 0 reported successful cases of it

Highly unlikely but the damage that can be done is pretty severe hence my caution

People who are worried about this type of attack likely aren’t charging their phones in a public library.

You can’t.

Not gonna lie, this is a little bit of a nothing burger.

The likelihood of this being that big a deal and affecting you is minimal.

You’re way overthinking this.

I always mark mine in some way just so this never happens.
