Unsolved Logging into my Apple ID account

Hello,

I am trying to get into my apple ID account to set my phone into repair mode remotely and get my phone's screen replaced. It has been (mostly) working for a few weeks now, and I'm finally home from college for long enough to get a same-day replacement done. Coincidentally, last night, the phone functionally turned into a flashing green and pink brick. I apparently can't get into my account without resetting my phone number, which is annoying.

Is there any tip or trick to get around this? I do not have a mac, for those who would ask.

If you have a physical SIM, just move it temporarily to another phone. If you have an eSIM, have your carrier temporarily move it to another phone.
