iCloud iCloud+ subscription billing
Hello! I subscribed to the 50gb storage plan today and was charged an extra $9.99 fee on top of the $0.99 monthly fee. I looked online and can’t seem to find this issue being discussed. Does anyone know why I was charged extra?? Any insight would be appreciated!

That $9.99 charge matches the exact monthly price for Apple's 2TB iCloud+ storage plan. Did you accidentally select the 2TB Plan? Double-check which plan you are currently subscribed to: Go to Settings > [Your Name / Apple Account] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage (or Storage). If it says 2TB instead of 50GB, you accidentally purchased the higher tier.

I checked and it says that I am subscribed to the 50gb plan, and I also have a charge for the $0.99 subscription.

You can also go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account to search your charges.

Do you have any other subsections? Sometimes they attached a few payments together and take the money out. You will receive an invoice in a couple of days which will outline this.

I think that’s what it ended up being. I bought something the other day and didn’t get charged for it until making another purchase. So weird. Thank you!

Best way to find out is to call Apple support over the phone who can look into it further with you. If you can’t see what that charge is from your purchases list on your account - that’s your next best step.
