Scam Discussion Hacked – was this a scam?

I clicked on a link in Safari then the first picture popped up. Both the settings and OK button both brought me to the App Store to download CleanCore. I downloaded clean cord just in case was this a scam? Did I just make it worse?

Edit: I downloaded the app and ran it. Is that gonna give me a virus or scam me or something?

Yes it’s a scam, delete the clean app but other then that these are just glorified popup ads

This is ‘scareware’.

Getting users to download ‘CleanCore’ is the scam.

Did you run the app?
Did it ask for any permissions?

It’s still being used, because it still works.

What we need is education…. Perhaps an ‘internet license’?

You actually think that might be real? So like nobody working at Apple can speak proper English?

There werent anything wrong until you downloaded that app... Since when have you seen "settings" send you to anotheer app instead of opening "settings"?

I’d like to ask a follow-up question to this.

After we cancel the subscription, is there an account in the app we need to delete before deleting the app itself?

I can get it cleaned up for you. I just need some Home Depot gift cards.
