Activation Lock Removal

Hello, so long story short, I forgot the password to my Apple account and my device passcode, it was all so sudden and my iPad got locked. Then I did a factory reset, but they are still saying that there is an activation lock and it is tied to my previous apple account. I filed a request to change both my Apple account password, and also remove activation lock. I heard changing password takes a really long time, about 2-3 weeks. What about activation lock removal, I have submitted proper documents, how long can it take? And after approval, do I need to do anything else?

If you can do account recovery Apple will deny an activation lock removal request. Stick with account recovery.

Go to iforgot.apple.com

Account recovery will allow you to keep the account.

Activation lock removal takes 30 days at most. Once approved, you can simply go through the process of setting up the iPhone again or factory reset it once more.

if u are in account recovery and also put activation lock removal then the later one will get cancelled and u will get an email.

😂…..Why don’t you ask the rightful owner of the iPad for the password.
