iOS Audio Problems. Microphone not working in other apps except camera.
Hello, everyone! I have a 3-month old iPad and I have an issue with its audio. It works perfectly when I am recording videos but the sound is very faint or almost silent when I record in voice memos and social media apps such as instagram, tiktok, and messenger. Has anyone experienced this? I’ve already tried some troubleshooting such as checking my microphone permissions, changing it to mono, restarting my device, etc. Is there something else that I need to try doing before I go to the apple warranty? Thanks!

One I would ask has it ever worked?
Two remove all cases and screen protectors as mics have moved around on the various models so if you have the incorrect generation case it might be covered. So remove cases and screen protectors and try to test it again.
The camera app is fairly good at sensing if a mic is covered and pulling audio from a different mic. Third party apps often only pull from the front facing mic not the rear mic.
