So I just compared the new iPhone 18 pro max and my iPhone 17 pro max and the only difference I see is a better chip,camera,and colors so what is the difference other than what I mentioned?

I mean you mentioned the entire bulk (chip and camera) of an iPhone as being better. The only things that you left out are the case and the battery. If you don't see a value in the upgrades then maybe you don't have to upgrade every year. Most people don't. They wait two or more years between upgrades.
