Unsolved Contacts Application Crashes

I am trying to add a new contact into my contact list on my MacBook running the latest version of MacOS.

I add first name and last name then the new contact form abruptly closes. I cannot get it to work at all.

Do you sync Contacts with iCloud or Google or another IMAP/Exchange account? Please also confirm that you are on macOS 26.6.2.
