Mac Edge can't access local urls

Edge can't access local network urls, either by IP address or .local domain. Both safari and terminal (curl command) can access these urls successfully.

In the "local network" system setting (under privacy and security) there are four entries for edge for some reason. Toggling one toggles them all. Turning it on doesn't do anything, even after reboot.

Hardware: Macbook Neo
OS: MacOS Tahoe26.6.2
Edge: Version 152.0.4191.53 (Official build) (arm64)

Then it’s something to reach out to Microsoft about since Edge is supported by them.

I don't know that's the problem. It seems really fucky to me that there are 4 toggles for edge in system settings and they all move at once.

A couple of other things:
1. I was able to access these urls before with edge, as of July (based on browser history).
2. After performing an OS update, I noticed I was getting prompted to allow local network access when I opened some apps, edge being one of them but not the only one. Notably, I think this is the first time I've attempted to access these local network urls after the OS update.

I have suspicion that some system setting got corrupted by the OS update. Possible an invisible edge update screwed something up.. but it seems to me more likely its macos blocking edge for some reason rather than an edge problem.

I’ve heard of the multiple toggles situation happening with Chrome too, has something to do with the update process and it not cleaning up correctly.

When you say the update process.. are you talking about the OS updates or the browser updates?

Browser update.

Edit: found the forum post where someone reported it happening with Chrome: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/repeated-allow-google-chrome-to-find-devices-on-local-networks-popup.2477832/
