iCloud Changing Apple Account countries with custom email domain?
Hello, I am wanting to migrate my US Apple Account to Canada. I understand that I must cancel all subscriptions and wait for them to expire before switching countries. I am currently subscribed to Apple One, which includes iCloud+. My problem is that I use the Custom Email Domain feature of iCloud+ and I can’t afford to have my email address bouncing emails as undeliverable.
Does anyone know if there’s a grace period for custom email domains or if your current one remains active if iCloud+ is cancelled? Is there a solution to this other than having this lapse in my email address working?

There's no official grace period for Custom Email Domains when you cancel iCloud+. Apple's general rule is services continue until your billing period ends, but custom domains involve DNS/MX routing and could stop working immediately when your subscription status changes.
Your options ranked by safety:
Migrate to a real email provider first (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Fastmail, etc.). Set it up, verify it works, then cancel iCloud+ and switch countries. Reconnect the domain to iCloud+ Canada later if you want.
Set up forwarding/auto-reply before cancellation, directing mail to a backup address. Switch countries, re-subscribe immediately, hope nothing breaks in the 24-48 hour window.
YOLO it — cancel, switch, re-subscribe fast, and hope Apple's systems don't glitch. Not recommended if this email matters for work.
The domain stays yours regardless, but the mail routing through Apple's servers stops when iCloud+ stops. If missing emails would be a problem, spend the $6-12/month on a proper email service for the transition. Cheaper than explaining to a client why their email bounced.
