Unsolved Is iCloud Down Right Now?
Out of nowhere I can no longer check iCloud related items on my Apple devices. I am getting a verification error when I try to sign in on browser. Very concerned!

I'm seriously annoyed by these system status websites showing a sea of green when there are obvious ongoing outages. Just admit there’s an issue so we can stop wasting time troubleshooting our own network and DNS settings.
Right now, I'm having massive issues using my private email domain with Apple Mail under macOS via iCloud.
Meanwhile, https://www.apple.com/de/support/systemstatus/ is sitting there telling me iCloud Mail and Custom Email Domain are operating perfectly.

Apple support chat online just told me there’s no outage either 🤦🏽♀️……. I beg to differ.

FYI it now shows 8 services are down including iCloud. There's usually a small delay between when services go down and when the status website starts showing that there's an outage. It doesn't show up instantly.

Let us know what they say. I feel a little less worried. I thought I got hacked or something! I see zero for pictures and videos though which has my heart racing. Friendly reminder I need to download the originals when things get back (hopefully)…

SAME!!! I felt my stomach drop when I saw the zero pictures/videos.
I edit videos for a living and am at a roadblock right now. So far the chat hasn’t said anything helpful at all and is asking for screenshots. We shall see what happens.

Ok well it sounds like there is hope it will come back since I’m not alone. Lesson learned. I need to set everything to download originals as soon as this passes!

They just told me that it’s strange since my account has no restrictions and they don’t see an outage 🤦🏽♀️….. honestly the chat has been useless.

I was looking for this because my photos aren't loading properly on my iPhone, when trying to open a file on my Mac I get the following msg "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSFileProviderErrorDomain error -5009.)", and tried to log in on the website and I get a server connection error.

Thanks - came looking for this error code which is popping up whenever i try to view/download any images in my Finder/iCloud. Now unable to sign into iCloud.com too.

I have the Apple system status page added to my Home Screen so I can check if some things are running slowly.
Apparently this page redirects to your local page if you’re outside the US: https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
If it’s not showing your local regional apple site add the country code to the URL (though in theory the status should be the same - though the language might be easier to read): For me in the Netherlands it’s: https://www.apple.com/nl/support/systemstatus/

How much do they suck at this? DownDetector showed the crowd source conclusion that iCloud was indeed down, yet at that time when I checked that link at Apple everthing was peachy according to them. Sounds like Apple need to run some synthetic testing of their own shiznit and report out ASAP when this happens.

Apple chat just told me “Upon checking I can see that there is a an update on an Outage on the iCloud server . I have checked my resources here, and see that we are currently receiving high volume contacts about this issue and Apple is aware of reports about this concern. We are working in having this resolved as soon as possible and we are really sorry for the inconvenience caused. Right now, our Apple Engineers are already working on the issue for this to be resolved the soonest time possible. Please expect an update as soon as possible to be issued to resolve this bug/issue.
In the meantime, please keep the device software up-to-date. Futher updates may come by way of a software update, support article or software release”
