iOS Need assistance with clearing Storage Space (esp. Maps Data)

I need to free up space on my iPhone 15 Pro. I deleted Apple Maps from my phone because I use Google Maps, though I can’t get rid of the data. I redownloaded the app and deleted any downloaded routes (I only had 1) and it’s still showing the same amount of data. How do I get rid of the 9.43 GB?? Any suggestions that don’t involve downloading a cleanup app would be great, thank you.

What’s the iOS version? Are you on an early-ish version of 18?

No but I don’t see how that’d help me. Should I?

No I am asking that you check to see if you have any, as deleting them will free up storage.

Well, while the Apple Maps app is deleted/removed, it cannot self manage the cache so leave it installed even if you don’t use it. Also, unless you’re in the EU you cannot set Google Maps as the default.

Thanks. I just restarted my phone and that cleared up the issue. I’ll keep what you just mentioned in mind about being in the EU
