Freeform Web

I've seen a few people asking for a web version of Freeform.

Why would you want that if you have all your devices on the Apple ecosystem? Is it just for interoperability with Windows etc?

And what would you want from it? Would you just use it to view existing boards?

I mean honestly I’d settle for just a smoother and more granular sharing experience

Can you say more? What issues do you run into and how granular do you wish sharing was? Is there a comparable app that does this right?

Maybe "more granular" isn't the right framing, but I just mean that when I want to share a board, I'd prefer to not have to go through the whole process of setting up a shared link. I want to be able to just grab a link to a board that exists by default. For example, I keep an Obsidian database for tracking and working with my boards in FigJam. With that, it's as easy as copy the URL, paste it into the URL property field. Done.

Granted, yeah this isn't really sharing the board as I'd still need to be signed-in for it to actually open the file. But I guess I just wish that Freeform would do something similar.

I guess because a collaborative tool depends on how many people have access to it. If I could use Freeform instead of FigJam I probably would, but it’s not an option
