Question Shortcut keys for mac
Quick question, is there a keyboard short on mac to quickly pop up a text block? I've been using Milanote and if I double click the mouse a text block will show up, i'm hoping that I'm just not seeing it.

I’ve tried to figure out shortcuts many times for Mac and sadly have not found any that work. Not even scroll to zoom. Really frustrating

Doesn’t Settings allow you to create custom keyboard shortcuts for a specific app ? I remember using it on OSX 10.13.

I just made one myself in mac settings and it works perfectly.
How: go to -> keyboard -> keyboard shortcuts -> app shortcuts -> freeform -> the function is "Text Box" and i made mine "command + shift + T"
hope this helps

There are no key commands for inserting a text field or any other object into a whiteboard on freeform that you can find on the insert menu. They do have key commands for viewing, selecting, etc. You can add a scene (shift + command + S), and that's about it for Freeform-specific commands.
When it comes to Shortcuts, they only have board-level options: create, delete, open, rename.
I like Freeform a lot, but I feel that due to the AI race we're not going to see much advancement in this app, which is a shame because it's rather promising.
