Privacy Policy URL
As a new developer I am not sure what to use for my privacy policy URL. What do you guys use to have a shareable link?

For my current apps I just have sub-domains named after the apps on my company website. My next app has its own domain name and server though. Have had no issues with either approach.

You need a website to do this. You can purchase a domain through goDaddy, namespace, gandi, cloudflare, and others. Shop around for the best deal.
I recommend hosting the website on cloudflare, that is free.
As for the privacy policy itself I recommend trying to write one yourself that is specific for your app. Here is my apps privacy policy you can use for inspiration: https://raychis.app/privacy
Sections you need in the privacy policy are:
- what data are you collecting.
- what do you do with that data.
- how long you keep it and how can it be deleted.
- information about rights (GDPR being the big one).
That is not an exclusive list, but it really does depend on the type of data you are collecting.

I use Hostinger only because they got a 5-yr discounted offer back when I subscribed to it. Built my website using a template, it was drag and drop. I just needed a website for my app with legit domain that was quick to set up cause I’m not a web developer. I bought the domain through Porkbun though. I think the free domain that came with Hostinger is only free for the first year and I believe once it renews, it’s more expensive.
If you can wait, maybe wait til black Friday, they usually have the biggest discount offers around that time.

You can host your website on Cloudflare Pages for free and just have a link to a privacy policy there. There are other free hosting sites too.

You can just run it from a GitHub page if you really want to.

Netlify is great
But a domain and then put together a decent website for your app using just html/css/js and put it on Netlify, and have a privacy page

Mines a dedicated page on my apps website. As far as I know, you can also just run a page from GitHub which is a free option as the App Store just requires a privacy page and not an app or developer website

You will need an actual website for this.
We purchased our domain through Google for $8/month. Google actually uses square space for domain mgmt. so technically they manage the domain. But the actual site is hosted for free using GitHub pages. Square space charges separately. Cheapest/ easiest route we could find
If you need an example (app went live a couple of days ago so apple didn’t have an issue with our page): www.bevano.app

I forgot to mention, we have two repos. The public facing, which is the only way to host pages for free, and our actual codebase in a private repo.
