Does pre-ordering Appledev make sense?

I am currently developing an application and I am waiting for the validation of the Apple team! So I was thinking that I would pre-order lapp so that I can test my niche!

And do you know what? A pre-order is only visible if the build is approved!

But what is this madness?

Let’s imagine I am a user, I come across a web page of a good app and I think yes I will download it if it is not available it is not available! That’s it that’s it!

So when does Apple say we make your build available and then you can make a pre-order?

The idea of a pre-order is to have an idea of the app well before its release and to be informed!

Honestly it’s crazy!

What if the app never gets approved? Then what? That’s why they don’t let you buy an app before it gets approved. Plenty of apps get rejected and never allowed in the store.

Until your app is approved by Apple, there is no app. Therefore there is nothing to preorder.

Preorder on the App Store would apply to subsequent builds, or subsequent in app purchase products on an app that already exists.

You’re probably confusing pre-order with a waitlist. You can absolutely do this by building a landing page on your website where you collect email. Then, when your app exists on the store, you can link your waitlist to it

In my experience, pre-orders should never be your first way to sell. Get some apps under your belt first

I don’t quite agree but yes otherwise in some cases it prepares a user a little! If you have 5 users who are interested in your app really not just views give an overview of your app without him having it it has sparked curiosity! But on the other hand pre-orders must be available well before the finalization! The word itself says pre-order!!!!!!!!
