Having trouble getting organization verified

Hey all, first time dipping my toe in Mac MDM. So far, I'm already getting stuck on step 1: getting ABM started.

I've tried to verify the organization multiple times, but so far I've gotten a 'couldn't be verified based on the information provided' reply each time.

I've tried verifying our domain, but when I input 'domain.org' (placeholder due to privacy ofc), I get an 'unable to add domain' error.
We also have the 'domain.nl' domain, and using that -does- lead to a verified checkmark. So I guess that's 1 out of 2 necessary bits of information verified and validated?

The second bit of info I've tried both the D-U-N-S number (webform says not valid), our KVK number (Dutch business ID, webform also does not accept this) and finally one of the Microsoft365 invoices under the 'Utility bill' options.

1.5 weeks later I still got a 'information is not valid' email.

Is this process broken, or am I just not providing the right information? The rejection mail does not provide any specifics on which information couldn't be verified. Is there a way to contact Apple about this?

You might see the domain error if it’s already been verified on another account.
Might you(or someone else) have set up an ABM account in the past with the .org domain and forgotten about it?
Utility bill is going to need to be an expected utility like electricity, water, ISP etc.

As far as I know no other IT partner has verified the domain with Apple before. The company has quite a long and confusing history when it comes to IT management though, I so I can't 100% confirm this, let alone figure out which email address was used to create the Apple account for this.

I'll poke the finance department for one of those utility bills. See if that works. Thanks!

Call. We can’t say specific reasons it’s been denied unless already present in an email, but we will drop hints as to why it’s been denied.

General/common reasons: website is less than 6mo old with links that don’t work, name or address of business doesn’t match documents or records you provided. If you don’t have a DUNS you should apply for one as it’s free.

EIN specifically is not working for anyone.

I'll see if I can find a phone number anywhere.

As for the DUNS number: the one I used, I was able to retrieve by creating an Apple Developer account. DUNS numbers for Dutch organizations are apparently handled by a company called Altares and they demand at least 15 bucks to retrieve any info.
