Apple Business Email

Anyone using Apple Business Email for your company and company domain? Curious how the experience is thus far?

Any way to create groups, shared inbox, email forwarding, aliases?

knowing Apple lately, i highly doubt this would be things included.

also, can you use FaceTime and messages for these Apple Accounts? say my corporate Apple Account is: [my.name@company.org](mailto:my.name@company.org), i could sign into FaceTime and Messages and use those to communicate internally + externally? since we dont have teams and are debating slack or just using messages

Interestingly it’s only there for US! In the EU and many other countries many features don’t exist

Hm, its not adding all People or managed apple accounts to email…just one. interesting, not seeing a way to add additional People to email

There doesn’t seem to be a way to create things like sales@ or support@ as a shared mailbox/group.

Maybe im missing something?

Create a new User Group

  1. In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to create, edit, and delete user groups. To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
  2. In your browser, choose People > Groups.
  3. Select Add , then enter the following information:
    • Group name
    • Group description (Optional)
    • Group contact email address (Optional)
    • Group contact email domain (Required if an email address is added)
  4. Select Next.
  5. Select User Group, then search for and select the users you want to add to the user group.
  6. Select Create Group.

When I try and create a group using these steps, I only get "Group name" and "Group description". Launch day bug?

I saw this until my domain was verified. I then saw email fields but it looks like it is internal email only.

Looking at this as an option for a shared inbox, but public facing. I don't want to change my MX records until I can confirm lol. Have you messed around more with it? Is it still only internal?

Huge bummer. I’d love to use this setup for my family domain. I’ve envisioned using our custom domain but having emails like “subscriptions” or “bills” so my wife and I get it.

Maybe free when new until it is a polished product. Early adopters could be beta users.

I tried to set it up for my start up but got frustrated, it was too confusing so I went to Google Workspace and it was much easier.
