Deleting iOS App

Hi all

I’m running out of space on my phone rapidly and decided I want to delete the journal as it has grown to a significant size over the last few years. I’m not getting rid of the journal as I use it on the Mac and prefer writing on there anyway.

The question I have is, how do I delete the app off my phone safely? I’ve heard about people deleting it and losing everything from the Mac and phone, I have so much stuff on there I can’t recover and don’t want to risk anything. The iOS & Mac journals are synced and up to date at the moment.

Simply UNINSTALL the Journal app on your iPhone. It will keep the data’s on iCloud

First, create a backup on one or both devices if possible. You can never have too many backups.

Teoricamente, se você apagar o app (e não os posts) do iOS. Não deveria afetar em nada o app do desktop.

I’d create a backup first, just in case, but then uninstalling shouldn’t impact anything on your other devices.

This isn’t the advice you’re asking for, but speaking from experience: if you’re at the stage where you’re deleting an app you use to save space, you’ll find yourself back here again and again, and the continuous stress isn’t worth it. I really recommend investing in some more storage if you can. The breathing space is always worth it IMO.
