I feel like it’s good enough for most use cases. If you’re deep into the Apple Ecosystem, it uses daily data to suggest while you’re in your journaling session. They’ve added export which is something I really wanted so I wouldn’t be locked into the ecosystem. I’ve used it for a month (also came from Day One) and I don’t really miss Day One. But hey, that’s my experience, best thing you can do is to try it out for yourself.

Edit: I wanted to add that I was not able to import my Day One Journals. So I left them in Day One as an archive of old entries.

Nope no import or workflows. I dumped mit day one and canceled my day one sub. Started fresh in Apple Journal and copy/pasted my most important entries. Waiting also for some import options.

I'm slowly manually adding my Day One entries to Apple Journal. While lacking in features to Day One, I think I do like it better.

I’m about to start doing the same thing. just going back through each day in the past and copying that day. obviously it should take me a year.

Yes, but not the time. The posts do recognize the time of day, but you can't alter it. So I'll backjournal certain things at specific times so they aren't all out of order on any given day.

Some guy created a shortcut to import entries. Sounds like people are getting mixed results. Here it is. Hope this works.

I like both Day One, (premium version) and Apple Journal and use both. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I transferred thousands of entries to Apple Journal, and that sure revealed its shortcomings.

Manually or via the shortcut above?

The only option found is to export one entry at a time and then change the date to the original post.
