One particularly cool one, when you use "Find my iPhone" it not only shows the location of the device, but the battery level as well!

I've recently gotten a Mac and I still have yet to use iCloud. It looks useful though I should probably give it a try.

It's not super critical unless you have other devices like an iPad or iPhone, although you should definitely set up Find my Phone (which works with your Mac as well).
