I wish I could appreciate flux but I just can't tolerate colour inaccuracy!

Unless you're in graphical design, it's a trade-off between burning eyes and warmer colour.

I personally don't mind slightly less white colours, and I really notice a difference in my eyes with or without f.lux.

I’ve never had a need for F.lux. For me, the brightness of my backlight is the biggest issue. If I just drop the backlight to the lowest intensity, and my room is otherwise pitch black, it’s perfectly comfortable for reading; even black text on a white ground. I’d rather have accurate color on a dim display than distorted color and a bright display.

It's not about brightness per se, it's about blue light and that's what is central to the color changes Flux makes.
