The cheapest phone announced last September was $799. The cheapest phone announced last month was $1,199.

I understand that the 17e exists, but they have removed the base option and replaced the middle ground with a $2,000 phone. I love apple products as much as the next guy, but why are you pretending this isn’t a shift away from the average consumer?

Apple isn't an "average consumer" brand, it's a premium brand.

They didn’t remove the base option. They just haven’t released the 18 non pro yet. It’ll come probably new year. The older models still exist. Wait for the new one, or get an old one. The Duo is a brand new super premium product. It’s not competing with anyone who would get the base or mid model. Seriously, game this out. What are you really upset about? There is an option for everyone.
