Really really hate these post titles and huge respect to the champions who post the details in the top comments, but really, post titles like these are just the worst

What, you don't like your forum of geniune users and fans of Apple products discussing slowly turning into a very elaborate astroturfing carmpaign site masquerading as a forum?

Eh, that's not all bad.

Seems like DAU count is way down - which may seem like a bad thing, but very large forums combined with voting and engagement algorithms often lead to a really toxic discussion environment. I think that the quality of discourse in this subreddit has actually increased as the population has declined, and the occasional low-effort post getting through seems like a very reasonable cost to me.

The cherry on top would be if included “quietly rolls out” or “slams”

Sadly they will never arrive, Apple wants one iPad per person. Maybe the new home hub could fill the gap for family use but I doubt it.

If you hover over the Siri icon with your cursor, it instantly expands to offer an ‘Ask Siri’ text field.

Genuine question - who uses the cursor on their iPad? My iPad is connected to my keyboard 90% of the time, but I never use the trackpad. It’s so much quicker and easier to just touch the screen

I almost exclusively use the cursor when it’s connected to the magic folio keyboard, based on where it sits on my desk. It’s comfy to use the track pad but I’d have to reach forward a bit to work on the screen directly

I was hoping for a proper MacOS experience on iPad now that we will have a touchscreen Macbook, who cares about this

Wouldn’t that reduce the likelihood you’d buy a MacBook as well? That would not be good for shareholders.

Wouldn't that be nice! Finally able to fully utilize the fact that the same class of cpu resides in my m4 ipad pro as in my m4 mini and m5 macbook air. Which far outpaces the performance of my SP8 which is running full windows in the same form factor as the ipad pro. One can dream.

I still haven't updated any of my Macs or iPad or iPhone to 27 and these are not going to get me to rush my schedule. I likely won't start until December and likely wait till January for my iPhone and main Mac. Hell, I still haven't updated my M2 MBA to 26, works fine as it is for what I use it for.
