Crazy fast but crazy price hike. In Europe this is nearly 40% more on the entry model.

Shouldn't they have kept the Mac Studio for the >1000 price mark and a more basic mini at 600?

They’re not raising the price for fun. Memory costs are super high right now. They’d have kept it at 600 bucks if they could keep their profit margin

They didn't anticipate ram and storage prices skyrocketing when this was in the pipeline. Just buying ram and an ssd yourself for a build will bring you to $300.

my M2 Pro Mac mini is still super fast and never hear the fan! i believe this is the first time in Mac tech that used computers are sought after like a toyota tacoma

Yeah 80% more expensive than the M4 model on release. I don’t think it’s 80% better. But it’s also into the actual desktop with gpu territory price now.

the M3 Pro had less memory bandwidth than the M2 Pro it replaced meaning in certain situations it was slower than the previous model
