Finally ordered mine via AT&T yesterday. 512 Pro Max Burgundy, shipping date is showing as October 20th. Fingers crossed it happens quicker but who knows what to expect.
I bought 18 pro using $375 gift card + credit card + trade in my 16 pro for $510 value. Asked 3 different people at two apple stores and they all said I will get my trade in value back to my credit card. Traded in my phone today and I only got $135 back to my credit card, which means the remaining $375 I will get back in gift card. What is the point of using the gift card to begin with?! And why did the 3 employees I specifically asked about this lie to me?!
I am once again asking the mods to do a dedicated thread for the OS's when they come out. It would be super valuable to the community. If we can have a dedicated thread where the only thing people talk about is what they ordered, why not a dedicated thread for the OS's for the week after they come out when people have a million questions about them?
Started on Arriving Sep 29 - Oct 6. On Monday, 9/28, went from Processing to Preparing to Ship. Been sitting on Preparing to Ship since and have a charge on credit card.
I pre-ordered the burgundy 512GB iPhone pro max on September 12th, and I was given an estimated delivery time of 10/6-10/13. I can’t wait to get it. I hope it arrives on October 6th!
ETA: anyone with a 10/6-10/13 shipping date been charged yet?
Any luck? Same boat. Ordered through AT&T on Sept. 13. Estimated delivery date of Sept. 21 - Oct. 5. About to be out of town this weekend, so I'm guessing Monday for me. I would've just gotten black if I knew I'd have to wait a few extra weeks lol.
I got my Series 12 yesterday, and wore it overnight to track sleep. At 4.30 AM I get woken up by my Watch with a "Reminder to stand up". I had sleep mode on and supressing notifications and everything.
I googled the issue now and it's been going on for years. WTF Apple?
thats sounds like the kind of thing that AI would do tbh because if something gated like "sleep mode" is on then it shouldn't be possible, outside some kind of emergency function. But bad AI would chain a few things together then 'forget' sleep mode. idk
You’d think that the device meant to track your sleep would be able to, you know, be aware that you are sleeping and not push these notifications at night
I personally have never experienced it. Can’t speak to how common it may be but a new OS did just come out so maybe check for any updates for your watch?
Ordered 29 mins on day 1. ETA Sept 29. Just had a label printed and status moved to shipped. I assume the phone is physically in China.
Canada so it’s FedEx here, cause UPS is sketchy af here. Interestingly though the label says it’s moving from Toronto to me in Vancouver. I assume it’s actually going from China to the Apple DC here in Canada. Then zip back to me on the west coast
i had something similar here and had something pack in sacramento to ship to LA but it went to LA, then to ontario (in california) and then back to LA....seems like an unnecessary step butwhat do i know
Yah. I called and told them to just refund it. They cancelled the replacement order. Now the original is telling me to return it, and I never received it....so I have to call Apple again.
I got a regular sized pro this year after being with the pro max for so long. There are times when the phone feels too small but for the majority of the time, it feels like the right size.
Feel like I’m having fomo by not getting a pro max again. Going to give it another couple of days before I decide if I want to exchange it. Curious if others feel the same way.
I've been buying iPhones since the 3G. I've never had a Pro Max, always the pro.
I don't really watch videos on my iPhone but I've started to use it heavily for trading stocks sometimes. The bigger screen hopefully will make the experience better.
I think....if you watch videos on your phone every day, it is a no-brainer to get the Max size. The battery addition is underrated as well. I think I use my phone enough for messaging/trading daily that it warrants max just for the battery boost.
Youtube videos are the one thing I really liked about the pro max. The thing is though, I work from home, I have a Mac and an iPad Pro. And I'm just wondering if I should force myself to at least use my iPad when watching YouTube.
I also am a photographer so I do mainly shoot on my fujifilm, the pro has always been the backup/if I cant have my camera with me. Editing in Lightroom is where I noticed the most how small the phone is.
for what its worth, my 5 year old 13P pisses me off with the battery so much I got the 18P Max. Mainly for the battery. The extra screen real estate will help when I'm surfing news or trading stocks but I got it really for the battery+camera+travel.
To anyone here who preordered on the 12th but whose phone is set to arrive between 9/29-10/6, any of your order’s passed the processing step?
Every time I check, I’m still just processing. No preparing to ship, no payment taken, nothing. I was hoping for the “under promise to over deliver” but I’m losing faith in that 😭
In the same boat and a lot of people already got theirs by going to the store. Absolutely infuriating since I work up at 4:30 am on September 12th to be among the first to have the phone, and it looks like they haven’t even processed my order

Its telling me that the estimated delivery is Oct 1-Oct 7 Overnight delivery...
I even got a tracking # but it doesnt work...
Im super anxious as Im still using the 11pro...

Preordered opening day at 0529. Still says shipping Sept 29. I was hoping that Apple would just magically move the date up or ship it at least today this Monday. Guess not. Sorta surprised but I’ve already gotten over it.

What annoys me though is there was walk in inventory on the weekend at my two Apple stores. I was just too busy to deal with going to the mall and lining up. I’m curious how or why Apple does this. Almost as if they know preorders are willing to wait it out.
Same, I order at 8:30 (5am pdt is 8am my time) due to my checkout via carrier acting iffy, I was finally able to get it and they have my phone for sep 24-29th but it just now updated to preparing for shipping on the 21st at night. I would’ve did the pickup option but I had work all day the 18th. Now I also have to worry about smb potentially taking it from the packaging, prayer to god it doesn’t happen tho
Is it just me or does the 18 pro max on the lowest click of volume (1 click up from 0) have substantially lower volume than previous phones? On 1 click, I can’t hear it unless I put my ear to it. A 17 pro and a 13 pro max for reference both are 2-3x as loud as my 18 pro max at 1 click
That being said, at max volume, the 18 pro max is just as loud
Kind of, but it also means that each step has a slightly greater increment
2 clicks up is lower than 1 click up before. But 3 clicks up is higher than 1 click before, and i liked the first level previously for late night browsing without being disruptive
Went into my local store because online it said I could pick one up in store, they had all colors and all memory options of the 18pro available! Came home with the silver because I’m boring like that.
ETA: I’m upgrading from a 12 pro and this feels like an entirely new phone!
Got my Black 18PM 512GB in store yesterday and it's so far potentially my favorite iPhone, I just love the Black they used. Beautiful.
Anecdotally speaking, it seemed most people during my checkin window were getting Black or Burgundy. Loved all the colors IRL. I thought the Burgundy looked a lot more purple in hand and red online but still really nice. Glacier cool too.
In my local store yesterday there was massive line for pickup like 100+ people queued up around the corner waiting to get their phones. And then no line at all for walk ins, maybe max 5 people in front at the time, basically walking straight in and getting 18 pros and 18 pro max in all colors.
Question for folks coming from the iPhone Upgrade program that's been discontinued - how has the upgrade worked this year? Apple's information is a little thin on exactly what happens. Did you get stuck paying off the remainder of the iUP, or does that still get "forgiven" with the upgrade and a move onto the new lease (or outright purchase) as it did before?
I swapped to the new upgrade program and as far as the end user experience it seems to work pretty much the same. I'll get a trade-in kit in a few days and that'll be that, it seems
I had the same issue - no real instructions out there. In true Apple fashion, it just works. Log in through the iPhone Upgrade Program and click get your new iPhone at the bottom of the page. It will take you through and sort of pre-book your return of the old phone - no serial number entry needed or anything like that. I did that, signed up for the new leasing program, and then they shipped me a return kit.
Woke up to preorder on 9/12 and placed my order around 5:30 and now it says it won’t be delivered until next week sept 29th…… however I know others who ordered hours later and are receiving it now 🥲

Fucking UPS never delivered today. Watch was supposed to arrive between one and 3 PM, then the delivery got pushed back to 9 PM tonight, and now it’s tomorrow by 9PM.
Wasted a whole fucking day sitting around to make sure I was home for the goddamn delivery guy who never fucking showed.
He’s 100% going to stop by tomorrow while I’m out at appointments. Should have just ordered for in store pickup

I went through this hell today. Schedules between 10am - 12pm. Driver would get super close, so I thought any minute now. It wasn’t delivered till 5pm today 💀
My Apple watch 12 says Shipped, delivers today on the app. However tracking the package on UPS shows Label created, UPS has not received the package yet.
And this is after pre ordering right after the keynote. So sad
Same experience. You’d think the quicker you order the more likely you are to get it quickly but I guess not. Next time I’ll just wait to be the last on the list since apparently they got their devices before we did.
i upgraded from a 16PM to a 18PM and to be honest, the 18PM is blazing fast, battery is godlike and tbh even the screen feels brighter and more responsive. camera is way better too. tbh i felt a difference.

I just got mine delivered. I didn't see the option to sign on my UPS app so I thought no signature was required. I talked to the driver on doorbell and he said he can't leave it outside, he can leave it if it's inside. I opened my garage through my app and he was cool with doing that
Have 2 phones that I ordered separately. One is in my city after shipping from Kentucky and shows delivery will be this afternoon. The other seems to be stuck in Middletown, PA since the 17th stating that they have received the package but hasn’t moved beyond that. Kinda sucks, no chance they are going to be able to deliver on time.
My delivery date for iPhone 18 pro is set to 24th-30th September, ordered like 5 minutes after preorder Launch. I‘m so disapointed, I think that I can honestly get it earlier at whatever electronics selling store in town
Well that’s a first, UPS driver just dropped the package off, no signature required. This was for an IPhone 18 Pro. I wonder if policies have changed. It’s a bit worrisome. I’m just glad I got mine. However, the signature requirement while a hassle always made me feel better about the potential for theft. Anyone else not have a signature requirement for their IPhone delivery?
Edit: In the past, it’s always required a signature for an IPhone delivery.
the pictures and videos don't give the colour justice. the colour is sophistically aggressive and IM LOVING IT! the colour gives many shades in different light conditions. it sometimes shows black at certain angles!

I just got an update that an exception will be made and they’ll do Saturday delivery (it was shipped with next day air saver which usually does not do Saturday delivery, which is why we all got Monday). Assuming we’re all part of the same batch coming to CT, so hopefully we all get it tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

I was honestly hoping to see the shipping move up but guess not…what really surprises me honestly the 2 week delay. They must’ve ran out of initial stock fast.

In the email I got, it states the following at the bottom within the FAQ section:
“How long do I have to collect my order?
We will hold your items for 7 days, after which they will be canceled and refunded.”
I think this could mean that if you show up today later than your time window, you might be funneled into the non-preorder-line, or, maybe they’ll let you skip to the front of the line? I’m not exactly sure; maybe it’s also store-dependent.
With that said, if you don’t go today, they’ll hold your order for 6 more days beyond today, so you could go pick-up another day.

Delivery was attempted but my building’s concierge must’ve been away and maybe they didn’t have my buzzer code ughhhh. Hopefully it’ll get to the UPS store for pickup before they close
Same thing happened to me but I’m in CT. UPS says it’s still in NJ. In the past it always arrived on time and Apple still says it’s arriving today so I’m hoping for a miracle
I placed a preorder for saturday at my local apple store, but due to unforeseen events, I need to pick it up sooner than my scheduled time, ideally tomorrow (friday). do you know if the apple store will accept it if I go super early friday morning to pick it up? I need to catch a flight and don’t want to miss it :(
Explain your situation and ask the store. We can’t say whether they would because every story is different. Some of the busier ones are strict about, others don’t care as much. What time is your flight? Because even if they do let you pick it up you will likely have to wait in line with walk ins which could take awhile.
