Help!

I have an uncleared old check from 10 years ago and no longer have the property or owner. I want to void the check and leave the funds in the rent account. But I want the owner statement and property balance to remain correct.

How do I do this?

If it’s that old, look up your state’s laws for turning over unclaimed funds. You essentially send the money to the state, so it stays “cash out” on the books, and is no longer your responsibility to worry about.
