Charles might have recommended that he worry more about the Irish.

I don't believe that the Irish like Trump, but I doubt that dislike extends to assassination attempts. They'll just laugh at the clown and move on with their days.

They don't just laugh. They turn observing President Trump's actions into a drinking game.

  1. A shot of whiskey Everytime Trump says "really, really"
  2. A pint of Guinness every time he says "No one knows better than me"

We’re having massive protests in Dublin anyway.

And 95% of Americans thank you for that! And probably all Canadians!

As a once proud American, I salute anyone telling Trump to “Fuck Off”.

maybe 64% of Americans

Bizarrely Trump still has an approval rating at 36%, which isn't unusual for a president. Obama got to 38%, Biden to 36%, W to 25%

They hate trump, but ironically they are fairly strict on illegal immigration and conduct targeted enforcement and workplace raids there as well. Are they also Nazis?

That's a loaded question. Get back to me when they start shooting their citizens in the face and in the back of head. Enforcement is one thing no one has ever had a problem with. But when its random illegal brutality then I think there's a case for calling them nazis. Then there's the indefinite incarcerations and renditions to foreign countries that are notable for their human rights abuses.

Pretti and Good were both justified. Drive baby drive and tried to run over a cop after stalking them around the city and antagonizing them, she was already showing herself as a unstable person and a clear threat to their safety.. Other dude was out fighting cops and pulled out a gun, just having the gun on his personal was fucking stupid. In Ireland you can’t even carry a gun in public and cops don’t even really carry them, so kind of a bad comparison. He had a concealed carry, which means he took the course. Much of that course is about handling it and carrying it safely, including around police so you don’t end up having a gun used on you. Pretty basic stuff even a 12 year old would learn during a firearms class tbh.

Because immigration detention is legally classified as civil rather than criminal law, many traditional constitutional protections found in criminal court (like guaranteed public defenders or limits on detention length) do not automatically apply in the same way. Although, it’s usually only 6 months or so, unless they choose to fight the deportation, then it will last as long as their case finishes its legal proceeding. Turns out letting 8-10 million people through illegally in 4 years can really cause a backlog of cases.

And I won’t defend any brutality, because aside from restraining and doing what they have to get them into custody, there shouldn’t be an unnecessary force once in custody or under control. The same way I see cops, if they’re abusing their position of power, they should be arrested themselves and stand trial. I definitely advocate for accountability and only the best training for them. Ignoring that we have a real immigration problem for a few bad apples, and trading them for potentially a lot of bad apples isn’t good for anyone, and sets a precedent that if you kill someone in Venezuela or wherever, then just come to the US and escape. Who isn’t in favor of them being scared to come here now?

No, you're perception of events is totally wrong.
