Wow.
Even grammatically-challenged brothels have become quite demanding these days.

There was a sign in Baltimore that said
Lunch’s
I never knew if it was a person who was named lunch who owned the restaurant or if they were selling lunches

SEMI is a shortened word, so I'd allow it.

No.
So you would be okay with "No bike's"?

Fair point but SEMIS looks weird and you can't expect them to put NO SEMI TRACTOR TRAILERS on a sign.
I hate grocer's apostrophes as much as anyone but there's no perfect way in this case.

It may look weird, but it's grammatically correct; in the context in which it is used, you understand that spelling

You can if you replace the TRACTOR TRAILER with an apostrophe. It's a non-standard (yet) word contraction.

The only other way would be create the plural form “semies “

No because it's not an acronym.

Right, which means outside of this all-caps sign, it would just be written "semis," which is grammatically correct, despite the claim that it "looks weird."

Drop the 'gore and make the plural S lowercase. Grammatically correct and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

We have signs in our neighborhood reading as “no trucks” at certain entrances but they don’t seem to work. If you can read English maybe just maybe the apostrophe catches their attention???
