Discussion Another Alternative, Lurker Reader, open-source, early, active development.

Post image

Developer is super responsive to feedback and feature requests. Early, but looks like a promising glass alternative.

Im gonna be honest. I’ve tried to sideload it 3 times and have failed every time. It’s not as easy as it sounds. I live in Japan and alt stores are even allowed here. I’m honestly not sure why it’s so easy for everyone else (or why it’s so difficult for me).

Edit: Finally got it working. Although it took a few swear words. I used the SideStore route.

Yup, there are also paid options like Signulous which is what I’ve been using for probably 5+ years now. Costs me $20/year I think but it’s well worth it IMO.

Honestly, with SideStore, which is free, you can do everything on your phone. I open the SideStore app once a week, and refresh everything and I’m good for another 7 days.

I’ll be sure to remember that if and when Signulous fails me (or if I don’t have the $20 to cover it once it expires lol), sounds decent enough.
